Adult Swim playing Amanaz?

I recently heard the track "Africa" by Amanaz played during Adult Swim airtime. I've heard stories of Adult Swim buying the rights for Witch's music, but I hadn't heard about Amanaz. I can't seem to find any info about it online.. could I be the only one who noticed? If anyone has any information about this I'd like to know the story behind all this. Also I'll be back to posting albums soon (and some cassettes).

Grupa ABC- Andrzeja Nebeskiego (1970, Polish funk/soul)

Grupa ABC Andrzeja Nebeskiego - album cover
Found this at a thrift store yesterday while visiting a friend, and man is it cool! It's basically funk/soul/jazz with some killer keyboards and drumming. The quality is a bit scratchy, and there's one or two skips unfortunately. But it's not too bad, and quite listenable. My favorites from this set are Razem z Nami, Przeminęło z wiatrem tyle dni, Droga do gwiazd, and Ktos.

Tracklist:
1. Razem z nami
2. Zabiorę cię ze sobą
3. Gdzie jest wczorajszy dzień
4. Nie chodź do domu
5. Za mną nie oglądaj się
6. Za dużo chcesz
7. Wspomnienie z Sopotu
8. Nie potrzeba mi nic
9. Przeminęło z wiatrem tyle dni
10. Nie szukaj jej
11. Droga do gwiazd
12. Ktoś

Enjoy!

Generation Gap- Up Up and Away

The Generation Gap- Up Up and Away
Don't know the year for this one guys, sorry... but this is some great psych-pop mixed with some pretty crappy ballads and there's even some kick-ass heavy fuzz instrumentals in the mix left over from the Id and Animated Egg sessions. And yes, that means it is one of those exploito-psych albums. But it's one of the better ones, and no one seems to know about it which is a shame. Personally off this list I'd recommend Lisa, High on Love, Hard Times and Fool's Luck.
1. Up Up and Away
2. I'm a Man
3. Make Up Powder and Paint
4. Lisa
5. High on Love
6. Woman of Mine
7. Hard Times
8. Strange Shadows
9. Fool's Luck
10. On the Run

Washed- s/t 1975

Washed- s/t 1975 (Xian Psychedelic Folk)
Great little private xian psych folk album I happened upon at a thrift store (images are not mine). Side 1 is pure psych-folk greatness (besides "Roll On" which I advise you stay far away from), my personal favorites being "My Father", "He Smiles at Me", and of course "The Resurrection", which some great Grace Slick style vocals and dreamy flangered guitar and bass. Side 2 is less amazing, although "Latter Rain" and "Cain Killed Abel" are great songs. "Revival Train" is in the same sub-par bluegrassy vein as "Roll On" and I recommend to stay away from that too.
Tracklist:
1. Roll On
2. My Father
3. Gentle Jesus
4. There's a Lot in the Bible
5. He Smiles at Me
6. The Resurrection
7. Revival Train
8. Latter Rain
9. Israel
10. Cain Killed Abel
11. Man From Galilee
12. I Walk Beside You

First post: Hello everyone, welcome to my first blog! Here I will be posting albums and reviews of records (and possibly cassettes) from my collection. I'm gonna try to keep this a psych/prog/jazz-rock blog, however I may venture out of that every once in a while. I hope all of you have fun and enjoy!
